My First Day in Middle School

My First Day in Middle School

It was the month of August. Ever since I had come to know that not many of my elementary school friends would be around, I had been feeling quite uneasy about my Middle school. Finally the first day in Middle School arrived!

Butterflies in my stomach

I was relieved as it was a short day. I did my daily routine but I was a little mad I had to wake up earlier than I usually did at Elementary. While my mom was driving me to school I started feeling the butterflies in my stomach that I was going to get in trouble or that nobody would be friends with me. I had already found out that most of my friends had gone to different schools. This was not an easy thing to digest.

The Boisterous Confidence

When I got in the line to wait for my teacher I could already see people talking to their friends. When the teacher came we all walked to our class. When the teacher told us where to sit, I didn’t know anybody so I was really quiet. I saw this kid who was not nervous at all. He was really loud and wanted to explain to the whole class a little bit about himself. Looking at his boisterous confidence made it a bit easy and I went and sat with him.

The Last Leg

This class ended really quickly, so we moved to our next teacher. That teacher turned out to be the vice principal from my elementary school. He knew me immediately and said hello. That class was really cool. We had to go around the class and talk a little bit about ourselves. When it was time for lunch, my friend from elementary school and I went to play some basketball with some other people. The last class was PE. That period was my favorite because I used to play all sorts of fun games in my other school during that period. But sadly that day PE didn’t turn out to be what it used to be. We didn’t do anything because it was so short. We only sat there for a while talking to each other.

And thus the first day came to an end- it was boring, uneventful and slightly nerve-wracking, so much so that I really didn’t want to go to school the next day.
