Why Mr. Earnshaw is a Wonderful Teacher!

Why Mr. Earnshaw is a Wonderful Teacher!

Mr Earnshaw is our music teacher- definitely one of the most wonderful teachers that I have come across till date. An extraordinary drummer, he has a flaming passion for music. He has worked in a band for more than 5 years where he plays piano and drums in live concerts. Originally from London, he came to Sweden some years ago and now he is our music teacher. And it’s a good thing that he came because otherwise we would not have found such a worthy teacher.

Mr Earnshaw is humorous and doesn’t fail to make anyone laugh. He is the kind of teacher whom everyone can talk. His amiable nature creates such an environment that my peers believe that he is their friend. He is also not one of the ‘strict’ teachers who may give us numerous pages of homework, instead, he believes that students should enjoy their leisure time at home. No detentions, no warnings, only free laughter and a congenial class atmosphere- these are the highlights of Mr Earnshaw’s classes.

The best thing about him is that he is our music teacher and I simply love music. Mr Earnshaw relates music to real life and says that music is the cure to stress and depression. He teaches us new songs on various instruments like the drums, congo, piano etc. Recently, he taught us to play “Blinding Light by The Weekend” on piano and we also learned how to play Latin music in groups using conga, claves, cowbell and bongos.

Mr Earnshaw is one of the most passionate musicians I have ever met in my life. He is so spirited that if one asks him to play a song that was released 5 days ago, he can successfully play it without any mistakes. He is a very kind and chilled guy who takes everything very lightly even though he may be having a grievous day. At last, the thing which separates him from the other teachers and makes him our friend is that he never blasts on us. He is always smiling and his lessons are fun just like the music he teaches.

In conclusion, I think every teacher should be like Mr Earnshaw. Some jokes, a few games with the students and a beaming smile- these are the things that children look forward to and these are the things that make Mr Earnshaw a favourite teacher, not only with me but with many others as well!
