Seasons, seasons, seasons! When talking about seasons, people have time and again mentioned how Melbourne packs all 4 seasons in a SINGLE DAY! But that does not happen all the time. Melbourne boasts of four distinctive seasons- summer, autumn, winter and spring. Some people like the colder seasons, while others love the warmer climates. According to me, the warmer months of spring and summer are the best months to enjoy in Melbourne due to a myriad of reasons. This usually lasts from September to February. During the warmer days, people in Melbourne can openly enjoy a variety of activities, interact socially and celebrate numerous festivals spreading laughter and good cheer. Thus, Melbourne’s tropical months are by far THE BEST!
Temperatures in Melbourne are unpredictably low and this may last throughout the year. When the sun shines people tend to get out in the open warm atmosphere to enjoy a variety of activities. This is evident as a number of people visit a variety of places to relish the warm climate. People can be found out on the streets- enjoying their leisure time. Public places like parks, beaches and stadiums throng with people and a palpable happy buzz can be seen traversing the whole city. In winters, many people prefer to stay inside due to the freezing weather conditions which makes for a dreary show. On the other hand, people love to go outside and have fun in the balmy weather. Hence, Melbourne’s warm environment is the supreme season.
Social interaction is a vital thing to consider as it can provide benefits in various aspects. Melbourne’s pleasant summers provide ample opportunities for people to go out with friends and enjoy diverse activities and nature. We play, party and visit the pool to soak in the spring freshness and the summer heat. This is also THE season to splash in the water parks and have some WET fun! Therefore, the tropical climate of Melbourne is the superlative choice.
The celebration of festivals brings people closer and helps in social and cultural exchanges. It is interesting to note how the majority of these festivals occur during the tropical seasons in Melbourne. Festivals, such as Halloween, New Year, Diwali, Christmas, etc. tend to sprawl lavishly during the warmer days. The refreshing summer breezes lend a more vivid and vibrant flavour to festivals and people can be seen spending time together with their families. Hence, the warmer months of Melbourne are any day a better choice.
The spread of colours, the blooming of fragrant flowers, and the warm hug of sun filled days- this is what Spring and Summer hold in the promise making them the most admired seasonal sisters in Melbourne.
