COVID-19: A Pandemic that healed the world

COVID-19: A Pandemic that healed the world

Covid-19 struck our world in the early months of 2020. As the pandemic spread across the world, everyone was stressed about it and was thinking about its negatives. However, along with the negatives, there are also many positives that this pandemic has bought with it. It has played a significant part in healing the world.

Firstly, although Covid-19 is quite detrimental to humans, it has tremendously helped our nature. This has been because most of the people have been staying at their homes. Hence, the pollution levels have decreased to a great extent. The Great Barrier Reef in Australia which was getting bleached at a very fast rate started healing itself as the pollution levels started decreasing, meaning that it is getting back to its colourful self. Additionally, the amount of global warming has also decreased due to this pandemic. All of this has happened because we, humans, are not traveling much and staying at our own homes.

Staying at home 24/7 might be boring. However, if you have noticed, this has become an opportunity to spend quality time with families. Think carefully, before this pandemic, how much time did you spend with your families? Probably, 1-2 hours. But now, because of Covid-19, you can spend much more time with your families because at the end, all of you are at home. Thus, you should thank God (or Covid-19) that you are getting a chance to spend some quality time with your families, a phenomenon that had become almost redundant.

To conclude, I would like to say that just as a coin always has two sides, so does everything else. Even this pandemic has two sides, a positive side and a negative side. You may interpret things the way you want. So, if you keep an optimistic mindset, you will definitely focus on the various positives that Covid-19 has bought with it.
