The thought of food is pretty challenging to ignore, especially if the food is something I really like. The most mouth-watering meal I like to eat is a combination of something home cooked by my mom and something that we get from the outdoors. This lip smacking meal is a delectable combination of a non-veg starter dipped in honey, some belly-filling and mouth-watering home cooked luxuries and a small pack of sweetness contained in a miniature ‘pera’.
The Starters
The first thing I like to start with is the delicious honey chickens. These chickens are dipped in honey but they still have that salty taste. The chicken pieces dripping with honey are probably the best, as more the honey more the fun. But, this doesn’t mean that the chickens are only sweet, they still have the saltiness to make them a perfect savory starter. It’s like the mixture of two flavours always tingling in your mouth.
The Main Course
After the starters, comes the main course which is so divine that I sometimes feel like I am in heaven! The warm rice, with bland but flavoury ghee presents an ever-changing landscape that can be altered with the spinach or goat curry. It is not only spinach, but spinach mixed with prawns. As for the goat curry, it is a spicy curry with some boneless goat, and potato. In our Indian-Bengali style, we like to separate the rice into two bits and eat each of the curry with them. Both the flavours are so strong, they fill your lungs with the fragrance of rich spices!
The Dessert
Then comes the dessert, it is so yummy, that I go speechless while describing it! This iconic dessert is just a little circle, including nothing but sugar and milk, which makes it even more delicious. There are many types of ‘peras’, but the one I mostly like to eat is the brownish ‘pera’. The brownish and the white one, they both are almost similar in taste except for the fact that the brown one is sweeter. I just LOVE the brown ‘pera’ because it is the sweetest and most gratifying!
So, over all my lovely and mouth-watering meal includes a platter full of flavours jumping around in my mouth. I first start with a sweet and salty non-veg starter and then venture into the main course with yummy and exciting curries, and finally finish my meal with some scrumptiously melting dessert that tends to disappear the moment I put it in my mouth.
In my view, this meal is nothing short of spectacular and everyone must try it at least once!
