Summer vacations are closing in on us. As far as I know your curious little mind will be thinking of places to visit. I have an interesting proposition for you. How about you visit my city GURUGRAM this scorching summer. Gurugram lies in the shadow of the country’s capital and is a perfectly alluring techno hub. It stands tall and proud of its interesting ecosystem. Not only does it have two contrasting sides like the moon and sun but just like the two celestial bodies, they both work together in harmony. On one side it is bustling with people entangled in their large work web and on the other side there are fields of fresh flower beds dancing in the wild. It entices you to such a level that you are often left confused about what side you prefer more.
From what I have feasted my eyes upon in your city is that laid back vibe and feeling of community love; the little houses scattered with bustling bodies and the waft of freshly made food. But have you ever experienced the rush of adrenaline when you experience the wonders of technology or the little food bombs that burst into your mouth while trying new cuisines? There is a little something for everyone on the offer in Gurugram. The overpowering architectures, wide roads, metro stations, innumerable malls, easy connectivity to various other cities- all these will really tempt you to come here again and again.
KINGDOM OF DREAMS
Gurugram has a lot of places which are worthwhile but ‘Kingdom of Dreams’ is the biggest attraction of all. The colourful lights, the huge majestic golden gates, the large water fountains and the massive stature of the building haunt you long after you have ended your visit. The painted sky on the ceiling of the building, the giant ship wrecked next to a large ocean of sand, the aromatic ethnic foods and the other exotic and antique vibes make you want to revisit the place again and again. You definitely would like to be mesmerized by the live theatrical drama that is performed every weekend. Likewise, the cultural display from various states captivate your imagination inside the portals of this gigantic structure.
A FOODIE’S PARADISE
Gurugram is also a hub for foodies. You will find everything- from street food to those fancy fish cuts that are laid ever so beautifully on a bed of rice. There are amazing options for vegetarians, vegans and non-vegetarians alike. The range of tea that you get here is enough to drive you crazy- from masala chai to chai latte to black tea and white tea- you name it and you get it! Then there are the bakeries- the ambrosial fragrances coming from these shops hold you in awe. They lure you to their magical cakes, fancy buns and a host of other exotic experiments laid out on the shelves. In short, there is just so much food to try but such a little stomach to hold it.
A SHOPAHOLIC’S DREAM
Even Delhiites throng Gurugram on weekends, especially to visit the grand Ambience mall. It’s a little Gurugram in itself. It is a dream of a shopaholic like you. Not just Ambience, there are numerous other malls as well that will satiate your eyes and travel back in your memory. In addition to malls, there are several exhibition and cultural centers that are always abuzz with activity. Fairs and local ‘haats’ have a lure that resonates the small city culture in this megalopolis.
And, this is not just IT! It is only the beginning of this expansive city that merges seamlessly with Faridabad, Delhi, Manesar and many other cities in the vicinity. Thus, the only way to really experience Gurugram is to visit it. So, I hope you are packing this instant and flying with a cape here because my friend you will definitely be in for an adventure of a lifetime!
