Imaginative reality- A term which is quite ambiguous and mysterious. What is imaginative reality? How is it that these two completely contrasting concepts are interrelated? How do they impact each other?
The Oxymoron
Imaginative reality is an oxymoron depicting that the reality of one’s life is very much related to one’s imagination, dreams and desires. Some people can turn their imagination into reality while some just keep on hankering after their imaginations their whole life rather than turning them into their reality.
Imagination
Imagination has a lot of power, it has the power to make or break a person. Sometimes people find comfort in imagination because they can control it and it works according to them. The more distinctly people imagine something, the more likely it is that they believe it to be real. Imagination is peace, it is blissful and it feels like heaven. The only thing is that it is not reality.
Reality
On the contrary, the reality is harsh, cruel, callous, torturous, confusing, rattling and so much more. Yet, we can always remember that reality is the truth. You can’t run away from it, at least not forever. It will hunt you down at some point or the other.
Sometimes people start taking their imagination as their reality. They are so absorbed in their dreams and thoughts that they are unable to form a line between imagination and reality which leads to the formation of imaginative reality. A reality for them which ironically is not even real! Sounds really petrifying, doesn’t it? Maybe for us but not for them.
They are completely surrounded by their imaginative thoughts and find it difficult to wade through reality which is why they convert their imagination into their new reality and find utmost peace in it. This peace may be found in dreaming or thinking of past in any alternate dimension or picturing a future suitable to them. Imaginative reality can be indeed calming and harmonious. The commotion of reality is at bay while they relax in their imagination. They don’t suffer or at least that is what they think at that time. Afterwards, they may face the repercussions but in their moment of oblivion, the only thing they feel is peace.
It is true that all reality brins from imagination. It is when we start losing our minds in imagination by creating false realities that we expose ourselves to dangers that may be too difficult to traverse. Hence, as much as reality may belong to imaginations, let our imaginations be grounded in reality, else there would be no escape from the bizarre world of imaginative reality.
