Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

I have played many video games, but one of the best ones I have played so far is The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The reason why I really like this game is because it has a good storyline which is captivating and interesting. Also, it has lots of finer details that make the game more lifelike. Finally, it is fun to play as there are more than a thousand things to do. Anyone, anywhere can play this game, any time!

The Storyline

Firstly, Breath of the Wild has a great storyline. You are a male character, named Link, who wakes up mysteriously in a cave. From there, you get mysterious instructions and a slate with “magical powers”, which hasn’t been fully unlocked yet. You journey to mysterious shrines, to get special powers on your slate. Then, you get briefed about a power that is destroying the kingdom of Hyrule, which you must stop. You journey around in the game and finally stop the monster, named Ganon, which is destroying Hyrule.

Detailing

Secondly, the game is interspersed with a lot of minute details, which makes it more realistic and lifelike. One example of this is how if you set fire to some bushes and take your paraglider out (a later game item), you will be lifted to great heights, due to the fact that hot air rises. Another detail is how the monsters in the game behave. They have a short attention span, and can forget about your presence if they don’t see you for a while. It is details like these that make this game very intriguing and enjoyable.

Variety

Finally, the game is a never-ending series of tasks that keep one occupied in a variety of ways. The game keeps you engaged with its entertaining episodes and can relax your mind by deviating from the challenges of life. There are also so many things to do, it seems that the game will never truly end. There are collectibles scattered around the whole game map, there are shrines to be finished which come with rewards, there are boss battles, lots of places to research, and many more things. The most interesting part- you can even buy your own house! In a game where there is so much to do, it is impossible to be bored.

In the end, I would give The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild a 5/5. The perfect execution, detailing, fun element and a plethora of things to be done, can fascinate the minds of young and adults alike. It is not just a game, it is a mental exercise with magnificent animations and plenty of rewards.
