Children need time to grow. They are still young and have a future ahead of them. Reality Shows are all about marketing and money and they should not bring kids into these shows. It can have serious repercussions from making kids seem like failures to being overly depressed. Their education can get affected and they can even face health issues. So, children should not compete in reality shows.
EDUCATION
Education is very important and should be the number one priority of any child. Wasting time in glamorous shows meant to acquire fame and popularity is just the greatest time waste during schooling years. Children should instead focus on education rather than participate in reality shows. Moreover, the audience of such shows is usually those who want to see proper shows with no kids around, so even if you participate, chances are that you will get nothing out of it. Hence, I strongly advocate that in order that their studies do not suffer, children should not participate in reality shows.
CRITICISM
Criticism is a large part of any reality show. It wrecks lives, including those of kids who participate in such shows. Hence, you must quit reality shows. These shows make you overwhelmed and may even lead you to depression and anxiety. Children do not know how to cope with such mental issues and they may be scarred for the rest of their lives. Therefore, reality shows can bring in a lot of mental trauma, and working in them is simply not a good idea, especially for kids.
GETTING BOOED
Getting Booed is mostly about bad performances and it is a common thing noticed in reality shows. When children get up on the stage while many are watching, they face too much pressure, sometimes even forgetting what they have to do. They may forget their lines and the tricks they need to do upstage. This can make the crowd boo, making the child feel insecure as the audience won’t care that it is a child. Hence, I strongly believe that children should not compete in reality shows as booing can cause them to feel shattered and under-confident.
In the end, reality depicts how dreadful reality shows indeed are. Evidence suggests that it can cause irreversible despair and angst. Criticism and booing can become permanent markers guiding the child’s sense of self-esteem. And lastly, they may lose valuable study time which will never come back. As a result, I am unequivocally convinced that kids should not compete in reality programs.
