Smoking is like alcohol, once you start doing it you can get addicted to it. It can harm your lungs and other parts of your body. Want to know something really creepy? Smoking 1 cigarette can take 11 minutes off your life, imagine what a lifetime of smoking will take away! Smoking can affect your body, irrespective of your age, physique or general health. According to the internet, people in the age group between 20-45 smoke the most. It also leads to a very bad addiction that can spoil the life of these people. Hence, smoking should be legally banned for everyone.
Health issues
To begin with, it can cause a lot of serious health issues including lung cancer, heart diseases and immunity issues. It also causes wrinkles on your face. Some pathetic and distressing health issues are frequent and sudden heart attacks, gradual hearing and vision loss and lower lung capacity. Apart from all these, it is found that people who smoke smell bad and their teeth get badly affected. Therefore, SMOKING must be absolutely prohibited.
Leads to CANCER
Every time someone takes a puff of cigarette, 7000 toxic chemicals are inhaled in the lungs. This can cause 12 types of cancer! According to WHO, 80 lakh people die across the world due to various cancers from smoking, the most common being lung cancer. Most common symptoms of lung cancer are chest pain, weight loss/gain for no reason and shortness of breath. Smoking causes cancer not only in smokers but also in people exposed to second-hand smoke. This is the reason why I strongly believe we should put an END to SMOKING.
Passive smoking
Second-hand smoking is also called Passive smoking and is associated with many dangers. Although active smokers get impacted the most, passive smokers are also exposed to a number of toxins due to the smoke that they inhale from active smokers. Being in the vicinity of active smokers is almost as dangerous as smoking oneself.
So, if your friends/family members smoke, STOP them! It can harm and impact your life too! Before you light a cigarette, always remember that the warning that comes written on cigarette packets is actually true. Not only is smoking a BIG health hazard, it can even lead to death. Hence, in the public interest, smoking must be totally banned.
