Australia is a fun place to stay in and Spring in Australia is definitely a season to look forward to. Australia has the same 4 seasons, just that they are at different times as compared to the Northern Hemisphere. Summer is one of the most intense seasons in Australia, with its raging and burning sun. Many fun activities such as surfing on a thriving beach or eating a freezing ice cream are few of the most preferred ideas during summer. Winter comes with its own bucket full of fun. The snow-capped mountains often spit snow out of their tiny glaciers which provide for great outdoor excitement. Whenever it’s too cold, I always make myself some hot chocolate and sit with a book in my hand! Autumn comes in sneakily, leading to a lot of colour transformations. But it’s ultimately Spring which is the most colourful and interesting season in Australia.
Even though all the seasons are amazing in different ways, I believe that spring is the best among them. The number one reason for this is that my birthday is on the 1st Of September (the first day of spring)! The experience of having a birthday in a colourful season is indeed amazing. Most of my birthday party themes are flowers or about greenery and plants. As a result, my friends end up mingling with the countless colours that surround us. So, we all look a part of the whole plan.
In Australia, the sun is either too intense or it seems too shy to get out from behind the clouds. However, spring has a moderate climate. It’s both hot and cold mixed together. So, when my birthday comes, we can wear whatever we are comfortable with instead of wearing woolly coats or open clothing. The range of tourist attraction spots increase during spring. For example, in summer you only have one spot to visit and that’s the beach. But in spring you have many more choices patiently waiting for you to choose from.
Spring is also the season for animals to finally wake up from hibernation or even mate. Certain animals such as the magpies and the bats always mate in spring. Spring is also known as the festival of flowers due to the multitude of rare blooms. Jasmine, Azaleas and Impatiens are some of the flowers that grow abundantly in spring. Animals become active and can be seen in full action- jumping, migrating and breeding, because with the warmth, plants grow and food becomes abundant.
No one in Australia can even think of missing out on Spring. The warm weather and increased daylight hours entice people to take nature walks and revel in the glory of myriad blooms. because of these reasons, I am pretty sure that Spring is the favourite season of many Aussies!
