Splash! The serene, aquamarine waves of the river pond splashed upon the rocks, I submerged my feet underwater, tingling my toes. The sun’s rays were like shattered glass dazzling in the forest. Silence was deafening, and the evergreen woodsy aroma tickled my nostrils. Closing my eyes I reimagined the world beside me and within a second blackness filled my thoughts with horror. I pried my eyes open away from the dark thoughts and into the blissful wonders of life.
I slowly stepped down into the river pond, the tiger’s eyes gems were set up in such a way that it looked like they were stairs of gold. The warmth of the water went up my body like a snail climbing a tree. There I stood, on the third golden step, “3, 2, 1, Let’s do this!” With a splash, I dived into the river pond. The crowd of bubbles followed along, some sticking to my arms and some to my feet. I finally felt the relief of escaping into the wild, my wild!
Swimming up to to shore I took breath and saw the over shadowing grey clouds taking the lead. I walked out of the river pond and at the edge of the waterfall to say my last goodbyes. I turned around to take another glance at the pathway of bougainvillea, behind me. “HU UH,” I trembled. Within two seconds I was falling like an angel in a poofy white dress. Waving my hands and legs back and forth. Until a mighty splash! When the river pond turned into a red pool smudging the golden steps.
Till this very day, a rewind of me happens every day. People who come, go with terror and horror. The only difference in this rewind is no one gets to know who pushed me off the waterfall.
