Elon Musk was born on June 28, 1971 in Pretoria, South Africa. From a young age Elon Musk was a very intelligent boy. He loved reading books and learning about science and space. At just 12 years he made his own video game and sold it in the shops for over $500. Although Elon Musk was a very smart boy, school wasn’t easy for him. Often bullied for being a nerd, he didn’t have many friends. One time the bullying got so bad his parents had to take him to the hospital. Even though school was hard, he never stopped learning. He read books for hours every day and dreamed about inventing things that could help the world.
Venturing Out
When he was 17, Elon Musk left South Africa and moved to Canada. He wanted a better future and didn’t want to join the South African army. Later, in 1995, he moved to the United States of America to study at the University of Pennsylvania. That’s where his adventure as a businessman really began. After university, Elon Musk helped in the startup of a company called PayPal, which made it easier to send money online. It was a huge success. He then used the money he earned to start other companies: Tesla- Electric cars; SpaceX- rockets and space travel; Neuralink- Brain technology; The Boring Company- building tunnels; and xAI- a company to make safe and smart artificial intelligence.
Past & The Future
Elon Musk became powerful by taking risks and always working hard. Now, he is one of the most famous inventors and business leaders alive. Even though Elon was born in South Africa, he did not have any great connections in his home country. He never really went back there and has been completely focused on global projects like saving energy and going to Mars. Elon Musk has his own charity called the Musk Foundation. He has also signed the ‘giving pledge’, promising to give away most of his money during his life.
Elon Musk is a very smart and hard working person; he loves to solve big problems. He is not afraid to take risks, and he works many hours every day. Some people think that he’s a genius, while others say he can be too intense. But no one can deny he has changed the world with his ideas.
In conclusion, Elon Musk is a man with big ideas who works hard to make the world a better place. From electric cars to rockets and even talking about living on mars, he shows us that anything is possible if you dream big and never give up. He is helping shape the future, and who knows maybe one day humans will be living on Mars holding chilled orange juice, all courtesy, Elon Musk!
